Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.
Throughout Japan's tea ceremony culture, a common purpose is to pursue the natural state of beauty. Thus you will often see teacups and ceramics formed using natural and coarse clay at first. Mixed with different styles of ancient and modern times, you can see the evolution and tradition of these kilns.

Beautiful! Carefully wrapped and boxed.
Great quality! Will buy another one! The item matched the description. The color was slightly different from the photo. But it met my expectations.
One of a mixed set I purchased. Seller was very helpful with questions and concerns quickly answered. Quickly shipped and carefully packed. I love the cups.
