Tokoname-yaki 常滑焼 is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan, a city of pottery steeped in history with a history over 1000 years. Tokoname-ware is a form of ceramic pottery that is produced in the area around the city of Tokoname in Aichi prefecture. This traditional craft comes from one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan.

Really pretty little pot that feels well made. The strainer goes all the way to the bottom, which is great.
My only complaints are that the strainer's holes are a bit too big to prevent all sediment from coming through, and that the pot walls are on the thin side, which means the water cools more quickly than I'd like
