These rustic matcha bowls feature an unglazed outer clay base. After the final firing session, the kiln masters intentionally allowed some of the ash to leave small streaks on the unglazed center. This is not to create an unfinished or dirty look. but to allow each bowl to showcase a certain uniqueness.
