Ido Chawan 井戸茶碗 also known as "well tea bowl" is the name given to a specific types of Joseon-era Korean rice bowls and pieces. They were originally made during the 16th century in Korea serving as simple bowls for food. It eventually made its way to Japan, where the tea masters made it into one of the most coveted matcha bowl styles.
Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.
