Minoware, or Minoyaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.

This is a beautiful matcha cup, and delightful to drink from. I particularly love the decoration of this one; it's like an art landscape depicting the tea plantation under a perfect, cloudless sky made from ceramic and glaze that I can hold in my hands. I've never seen anything quite like it.
