Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.
Throughout Japan's tea ceremony culture, a common purpose is to pursue the natural state of beauty. Thus you will often see teacups and ceramics formed using natural and coarse clay at first. Mixed with different styles of ancient and modern times, you can see the evolution and tradition of these kilns.

Really like the pattern but it almost looks printed on, has a good heft too it but not too heavy, and nice glaze. Great size for tea too!
Ughh Etsy, why are you so insecure? Can't you see what Craftswomanship looks like?
Bought for my brother as a Christmas gift and he liked it! Good quality, well packaged, good hand feel.
The cup is unusual in the feel of the cup because of its hexagon shape. Nevertheless, it is a very appealing cup to hold and drink from! I highly recommend this seller and products.
I purchased 4 tea cups for my book club friends. They were beautiful. One was a bit smaller than I wanted but my friend loved it! Very nice quality and fast shipping!!
