Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.
Throughout Japan's tea ceremony culture, a common purpose is to pursue the natural state of beauty. Thus you will often see teacups and ceramics formed using natural and coarse clay at first. Mixed with different styles of ancient and modern times, you can see the evolution and tradition of these kilns.

Excellent seller and nice quality items - packed very well and dispatched quickly. Thank you very much.
The cups are lovely. Thank you.
It wasn't delivered yet...
Beautiful, well made, slightly bigger for a Japanese yunomi. I saw some reviews saying it was smaller than expected. Japanese cups are usually smaller than the ones in the U.S. lol. It's the width of a normal mug. The ring pattern goes all the way around. I saw one review stating it wasn't as blue as shown but, mine is very blue. So, I guess they just vary due to being a handmade item. Shipping was very fast for free. Would buy from this seller again.
Beautifully made, packaged very well and shipped efficiently. I appreciate very much a well made product, from a small business. Their store has an impressive range of products across various price ranges, all beautiful! I have already purchased two more items. The handwritten note in package is the added personal touch that I am also grateful for. I will continue to be a customer.
