This Ranyu Blue chawan (matcha bowl) features a refreshing blue ocean glaze.
Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.

I use this bowl almost everyday, and it’s been holding up amazingly. The beautiful shade of blue is what drew me towards it and it is the perfected weight and size at 245g.
