Genmaicha uses first flush green tea grown in Shimada, Shizuoka Prefecture, and rice grown in Shiroyone Senmaida, Ishikawa Prefecture, on the Noto Peninsula. Both places are registered as Agricultural World Heritage. This Genmaicha was awarded the No.1 'Natural Flavor', Japanese Tea award in 2014.
For coffee lovers, with its roasted flavor, Genmaicha is also an excellent way to ease into the world of green tea. You can steep this tea several times if your first brew doesn’t last more than sixty seconds.
