Minoware, or Minoyaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.

    Great looking matcha bowl

    I wanted to update my matcha bowl for aesthetic reasons. I had used a grey bowl but now I wanted one to make the vibrant green matcha color "pop". This Kuro Red Chawan was a perfect choice. I love the black with the red top portion. It is a great size and depth. This now completes my visual zen for making my morning matcha.
