Minoware, or Mino-yaki 美濃焼 refers to Japanese pottery that was produced in Mino Province around the towns of Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kawagoei in Gifu Prefecture. Made using the soil of Gifu Prefecture, Minoyaki is the oldest pottery found in Japan and originated in the 7th century.
Throughout Japan's tea ceremony culture, a common purpose is to pursue the natural state of beauty. Thus you will often see teacups and ceramics formed using natural and coarse clay at first. Mixed with different styles of ancient and modern times, you can see the evolution and tradition of these kilns.

So happy with the quality and usage!
Packaged well and the item is as described. Highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful. A work of art.
It's very pretty and the quality seems good. I just found that the color of the cup I received isn't the same as the one pictured. In the photos you can clearly see it's two different colors with a nice contrast. What I received was black with dark grey (my photo isn't completely accurate either). I normally wouldn't mind but I bought it as part of a gift bundle and the change in color kinda ruined the aesthetic.
